Join Jordan Fischer for a Privacy Webinar with Truyo on Risk Mitigation Strategy Based on Enforcement Actions

September 1 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm EDT

The landmark European privacy law GDPR lead the charge on providing individuals with privacy rights; since then privacy law activity has bubbled up across the United States, and the globe. The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) was one of the first states to pass a similar comprehensive privacy law in 2018, which became effective on January 1st, 2020. CCPA has added complexity to companies’ privacy strategies, but the lingering question is how serious will enforcement be for companies not in compliance? Since July 1st, when enforcement for the CCPA became effective, the California Attorney General has been vocal on his seriousness to enforce and has indicated that notices have already been sent out to companies not in compliance. How can we predict enforcement? What parallels can we draw from GDPR to understand enforcement actions in the United States? Join us for a webinar where we’ll review the current enforcement landscape, what’s happening today, and how you can develop a privacy risk mitigation strategy to avoid enforcement actions against your company in the future.
